Myrna Robins exchanged the quiet of an academic library for the buzz of the Cape Argus newsroom and a post of food and feature writer and restaurant reviewing. A decade later she added travel and wine to her portfolio while freelancing for local and online publications and an international travel guide. She wrote a weekly wine column for the Weekend Argus for several years and compiles a monthly cookery page for the Cape Argus, along with reviewing new titles, mostly non-fiction.
